- And flash and flicker silently
to an opposing edge.

don't move but chairs and forks and
- Diners
do;
- In complex sync with modern sounds
of ordering,
- Chatting, clattering,
interjecting — ironically
- Suspending
in the slow-motion field at hand.

- In
the freeze-frame of a winter evening now safe
- Words
fail;
- But still and noisy (in here),
silent and moving (out there),
- The
spatial-fields advance/recede, project —
- Against
the movie screen of vigilant city walls.

biker zooms by to deliver Chinese food . . .
